NAMM 2019: Godin Guitars announces first-ever acoustic line

The Canadian brand is looking to get 2019 off to a good start.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: When we say that 2019 will be our biggest and most ambitious year yet, we weren’t kidding. For the first time in Godin history, we’ll be dropping our new line of Acoustic Guitars. Enjoy this small teaser #ToneLivesHere #GodinAcousticguitar

Godin Guitars is about to make a splash with its inaugural line of acoustic guitars. The Canadian brand has remained tight-lipped about the upcoming models, but it recently pulled the covers back on one of them.

Dubbed the Rialto, the acoustic is named after a renowned ‘movie palace’ on Park Avenue in Montreal. Just like its namesake, this six-string looks like an anachronistic beauty. But with tone and volume knobs on its soundboard, this might be a happy middle between Godin’s electrics and semi-acoustics. Whatever it is, we’re intrigued.
