Godin Guitars has launched the Imperial Laguna Blue GT EQ acoustic guitar.

We first took a look at the guitar at NAMM 2020, while also looking at the Radium, an electric that combines the design philosophies of Godin’s Stadium and Radiator guitars to create a versatile yet tasteful take on the modern T-style.

The Imperial Laguna Blue GT EQ’s body sports a no-cutaway shape and concert-hall depth, as well as solid mahogany back and sides, with the dark bookmatched grain on display. The Sitka spruce top is finished in the glossy laguna blue that gives the guitar its name.Godin Imperial Laguna Blue Back

The neck is also mahogany, topped with a 21-fret richlite fretboard. There’s also an ebony bridge, and a custom 12th-fret inlay. The headstock matches the marbled look of the pickguard.

Driving the electronics of the guitar is a discrete LR Baggs Anthem pickup, mounted in the soundhole, with a strap-pin output jack.

The built-in-Canada guitar ships with a lightweight impact-resistant case. Find out more over at godinguitars.com.
