UPDATE (16/19): Harmony has launched a competition that lets fans win a new guitar of their choice: the Silhouette, Rebel or Jupiter.

Back at NAMM 2019, Harmony showcased a fresh line of solidbody electrics known as the Standard Series. The range’s three models – Silhouette, Rebel and Jupiter – have now arrived, notching a milestone for the recently rebooted historic brand.

Crafted in Kalamazoo, the Standard series is designed to honour Harmony’s legacy while offering features tailored to modern players.

Each guitar arrives in an elegant nitrocellulose lacquer finish and unique body shapes. The Silhouette stands out with its surf-inspired, offset appearance, the Rebel is a double-cutaway that screams rock ’n’ roll, and the Jupiter is a classic single-cut figure. There’s also a set of ‘modern player’ appointments on each guitar – these include body contours and armrests for enhanced playability.

The Standard guitars all have 12-inch-radius ebony fingerboards, C-shaped neck profiles and enhanced bolt-on neck construction. Differences can be found, however, in the choice of body and neck tonewoods. The Silhouette has an alder body and maple neck, while the Rebel and Jupiter have mahogany bodies and necks.

As for electronics, each model is loaded with a pair of custom-voiced, hand-wound gold foil humbuckers. On the Silhouette, you’ll notice that the aforementioned pickups are mini-sized – these are designed to produce pristine, resonant cleans. The Rebel and Jupiter models, on the other hand, have full-sized humbuckers that are voiced for an articulate, well-balanced sound, according to Harmony. Controls are the same across the board: master volume and tone knobs as well as a three-way pickup selector.

Each Standard model is available in three finish options: Champagne, Pearl White and a colour exclusive to each guitar. These include Slate for the Silhouette, Space Black for the Jupiter and Burgundy for the Rebel.
