NAMM 2020: Revealed at Summer NAMM 2019, the Heritage Artisan Aged collection comprises some of the most gorgeous relic’d guitars we’ve seen. And at Winter NAMM this year, we managed to get Pete Farmer of Heritage to shed some light on the relic’ing technique his team employed.

This series is based on the brand’s Standard Collection, and comprises five electrics that feature stunning checking on nitrocellulose lacquer finish, worn hardware, and all the body dings and scratches you’d expect from an intricately hand-relic’d guitar.

The Artisan Aged guitars include all the Standard models: the H-137, H-150, H-530, H-535, H-575 and Eagle Classic. Each guitar is made and relic’d by the artisans over at the 225 Parsons Street factory in Kalamazoo, and, besides the ageing, sport identical specs and features as their Standard counterparts.

According to Heritage, these relic’d instruments were informed by the Aged Custom Shop series that debuted at Winter NAMM 2018. “Our team relic’d these guitars with painstaking attention to creating authentic details that are sure to appeal to discerning buyers,” said the brand in a statement.

The Artisan Aged guitars retail for the same price as the Standard models. Head to heritageguitars.com for more info.
