NAMM 2021: Ibanez has unveiled a new signature acoustic model for guitarist and singer Jon Gomm, the JGM10.

The acoustic comes in Ibanez’ Asymmetrical Jumbo shape, sporting a gentle cutaway on the lower bout. Construction consists of a solid pau ferro back and sides, with a solid Sitka spruce top and X-M bracing. The neck is a five-piece African Mahogany/pau ferro neck, topped with a 20-fret Macassar ebony fretboard with a 400mm (around 15 inches) radius.

Electronics come in the form of a Fishman Rare Earth Mic Blend active soundhole pickup, which is running into a Fishman PowerTap Earth Blend preamp. This has support for two outputs, one stereo/mono and one mono.

Other hardware comes in the form of a compensated bone nut, a Macassar ebony top-loading bridge and chrome, die-cast 18:1 tuners.

The launch of the guitar follows the release of The Faintest Idea, Gomm’s latest album, and his first studio release in seven years.
