NAMM 2021: Ibanez has updated its artist models for Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and JB Brubaker.

Here’s a look at the PIA3761, JS2410 and JBBM30.

Steve Vai’s Pia 3761

Steve Vai’s signature PIA model – which launched around this time last year – now comes in a Black Flat finish. And along with that gold hardware for an elegant, high-end look.

Meanwhile, it keeps the features of the original, sporting an alder body with Petal Grip, five-piece maple/walnut neck and 24-fret rosewood fretboard with signature blossom inlay. There’s also a pair of DiMarzio UtoPIA humbuckers, an Edge tremolo bridge and a magnetic back plate.

Joe Satriani’s JS2410

The JS2410’s new Sky Blue finish and red coloured humbuckers give it a brighter, bolder aesthetic than its sister, the JS2450, which comes in a sleek Muscle Car Purple.

It has an alder body, a three-piece maple/bubinga neck and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. As for pickups, there’s a DiMarzio Satch Track humbucker in the neck and DiMarzio Mo’ Joe humbucker in the bridge.

The volume control also has a built-in high-pass filter control, which can be adjusted by pulling up on the knob.

JB Brubaker’s JBBM30

August Burns Red guitarist JB Brubaker’s new JBBM30 features a striking Black Flat finish with a white competition stripe. It sports a nyatoh body, a three-piece maple/bubinga neck and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. It comes loaded with EMG 81/85 active humbuckers, as well as a Gibraltar Standard II bridge and Gotoh MG-T locking tuners.

Ibanez has yet to announce the retail prices for its new signature models. At NAMM 2021, the brand also unveiled its new AZS series of Tele-inspired guitars and the FlatV1, a signature model for blues virtuoso Josh Smith.
