IK Multimedia is giving away AmpliTube Metal to subscribers (both old and new) to its IK newsletter until 15 July. This selection of amps, stompboxes and rack effects was curated to arm players with plenty of high-gain options while working in-the-box.

AmpliTube Metal is built to run within the brand’s AmpliTube 4 Custom Shop plug-in platform, which is also being offered for gratis. Newsletter subscribers can find installers for both softwares – as well as the serial number for AmpliTube Metal – in the ‘My Products’ section of their IK Multimedia ‘User Area’.

After both have been installed, running the ‘Restore My Gear’ function within the Custom Shop platform will automatically unlock the Metal collection. Both pieces of software will work on either Mac OSX (10.7 or later) or Windows (7 and later), with support for standard AU, VST and AAX formats.

AmpliTube Metal is said to offer “ultra-realistic” software renditions of 14 stompboxes, five vintage and modern amp models, along with 13 cabinets sims, six microphones, and nine rack effects. These were inspired by classic pieces of gear such as the ProCo RAT, DigiTech Whammy, Randall Warhead, Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier, and more. Here it in action below.
