New Pro Series models
Pro Series Dinky DK Modern Ash
The star of Jackson’s show this year is the all-new Dinky DK Modern Ash. Available in four variants – Pro Series Dinky DK Modern Ash FR6 in Baked White, FR7 in Baked Green, HT6 in Baked Red and HT7 in Baked Blue – this combines premium features with ergonomic design, targeted at modern players.
In terms of tonewoods, the guitar features a sandblasted ash body, reverse AT-1 matching headstock, a 12”-16” compound radius ebony fretboard and a graphite-reinforced bolt-on three-piece maple/wenge/maple neck. The latter has a satin finish on the back for increased comfort.
Tone is provided by active, multi-voiced Fishman Fluence Open Core PRF-COC humbuckers. These are tuned for a wide tonal palette, from “over-wound hot-rodded crunch” to “vintage snap”, according to Jackson. Controls include single volume and tone knobs – with push/pull for voicing change – and a five-way pickup selector. Rounding things up are a Hipshot fixed bridge for the HT6 and HT7 and a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking bridge system for the FR6 and FR7.
List Price: HT6 $1,199.99, HT7 $1,299.99, FR6 $1,299.99 and FR7 $1,399.99
