Reverb.com has announced that it has teamed up with Way Huge and Dunlop’s Jeorge Tripps for a special, super-limited run of just 10 handbuilt Fuzz Face pedals.

Each pedal, built by Tripps himself, will be housed in a full-sized chassis finished in Army Green. The variation of the legendary circuit inside is a Hybrid Fuzz Face – using one Russian GT308B germanium transistor and one American 2N5087 silicon transistor for a rich, cascading fuzz sound. Part of the reason for the tiny size of the run is that Tripps only has enough materials for 10 pedals, as germanium transistors especially can be hard to find.

The Dunlop Limited Hybrid Fuzz Face sale will launch Tuesday, January 19, and, given the tiny number of pedals up for grabs, it’s likely to be quite the hotly contested sale.

Reverb.com advises those who want in on the run to sign up using their email address here.

The pedal follows the limited runs of the Time Shadows and the Bliss Factory, collaborations between Death By Audio/Earthquaker Devices and Chase Bliss/ZVEX respectively.

You can see an interview with Tripps for the upcoming documentary below, in which he discusses how his passion for the Fuzz Face has inspired most of his work.
