Joyo has debuted the JGE-01, its take on the classic EBow sustainer. Like the original EBow, the JGE-01 relies on two magnetic coils that interact with your electric guitar’s strings for unique sustain effects.

The pearl white device has two sustain modes (Normal and Overtone) that can be toggled by a switch. It also boasts an ergonomic design and streamlined contour – for better handling – and is powered by a single nine-volt battery.

EBow was introduced by Californian company Heet Sound at the 1976 edition of NAMM. And although it has been around for more than four decades, not many clones have been on the market besides TC Electronic’s recently released Aeon and Joyo’s latest device.
