Kemper has introduced a new update for its Profiler OS, bringing a number of quality-of-life features and, notably, a Fuzz System that offers a huge range of fuzz sounds.

Kemper said in a press release: “Primitive, for some even distinctive, gnarly-ness in guitar tone has become popular again. Fuzz distortion is back as a tonal and stylistic statement in contemporary music production. And there is also the movement and demand for authenticity and the praise for the go-to classic Fuzz pedals: Jimi’s Fuzz face, Tycobrahe Octavia, Rocket Octavia, the likes.”

The Fuzz Drive effect comes with a set of presets that allow for a number of classic fuzz tones, Fuzz Face and Octavia included. From there, users can customise further twitch a number of parameters and add further distortion. This is similar to the Kemper Drive, which gives you a wide amount of control that go beyond regular pedals.

Profiler OS 8.2 also includes a tweaked version of Rig Manager, as well as a couple of new features for its Studio Equalizer parameters. Steep Low and Steep High filters can be switched from first to second order, and the gain controls have been expanded to +/- 18 dB for more dramatic tone shaping.
