Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall has unveiled a shiny new custom acoustic guitar, courtesy of Taylor. The new six-string is a tailor-made Builder’s Edition 717 that’s been named ‘Eddie’ as an homage to Eddie Cochran, because of its vintage vibes, and Thomas Edison, thanks to its “electrifying” mirror scratchplate.

An elated Tunstall made the reveal in an unboxing video on Instagram, in which she briefly discussed the guitar’s gorgeous dark finish and curious mirror scratchplate. She also mentioned that Eddie was designed because her current guitar, Vinnie, is “dying” from rigorous use. Check out the full post here:

It’s not clear if Eddie features custom appointments beyond the aesthetic, but hopefully Tunstall will reveal more details soon.

This is not the first time we’re seeing Tunstall with a Taylor, though. Last year, she appeared on California’s 88.5 FM to perform a cover of Tom Petty’s I Won’t Back Down with a Taylor GS Mini.
