MusicNomad has announced the F-ONE Unfinished Fretboard Care Kit, a set of tools that aim to make it easy to keep your fretboard well conditioned.

Unfinished fretboards in particular are in danger of drying out and cracking, and a build up of dirt and grime can lead to strings corroding quicker than usual. The F-ONE kit contains fretboard oil for conditioning, a brush for removing dirt from deeper wood pores and a two-sided cloth for both finer cleaning and applying the oil.

The oil is formulated from what MusicNomad calls “a complex mixture of the finest ultra-refined tree and seed oils to clean, condition, and protect your fingerboard.” It also notes that the oil “does not contain any lemon oil extracts, waxes, petroleum distillates, silicone, or water.”

The kit joins MusicNomad’s recent launch of the GRIP bridge pin puller, for safely removing bridge pins without scratching any wood. In 2018, we also took a look at its Octopus multi-tool and GRIP string winder.

The F-ONE Unfinished Fretboard Care Kit will be available 1 February 2020.
