NAMM 2021: Ibanez has revealed a new signature electric for guitarist Lari Basilio, the LB1.

The guitar features a number of premium construction points – especially the roasted birdseye maple neck, which is a single piece of wood fitted with 22 jumbo stainless steel frets. The fretboard’s radius is compound, running from 228mm to 305mm (around 9-12 inches).

The body is made of ash, and loaded with a set of Lari Basilio Seymour Duncan signature pickups, with a single-coil in the middle and neck positions and a humbucker in the bridge. The pickups were voiced specifically for the guitar, voiced to complement the ash body. They’re controlled by a five-way blade switch, a master volume and master tone, as well as an “alter switch,” which changes whether the single-coils run in series or parallel.

Hardware comes in the form of a set of Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh T1702B tremolo bridge, finished in gold. The LB1 comes finished in gloss violet, and ships with a hard case.
