NAMM 2021: Tech 21 has announced the SansAmp Classic has been relaunched for 2021. Utilised by countless players for over three decades, it is regarded as one of the pioneering products in the development of user-friendly direct guitar and bass tones.

Discontinued back in 2016, the brand have chosen to reinstate the Classic due to popular demand. The most sophisticated of Tech 21’s pedal line-up, it offers a bank of eight character switches to adjust tonality, harmonics and dynamics, a three-position input switch that enables you to select between numerous pre-amps, plus four knob controls to shape pre-amp and power amp contours, plus standard volume and tone pots.

Practically the same design that B. Andrew Barta implemented back in 1989, it has enabled the SansAmp line to develop into pedals and rack units, alongside being the main element of Tech 21’s Fly Rig series.

While all SansAmps are flexible, and user-friendly devices offering warm, rich and natural tones that aim to replicate some of the most revered tube amps on the market, the SansAmp Classic is the original. Not just for guitar and bass, everything from industrial samples to maracas have been saved from atonal death by its analog magic.
