Novo has unveiled its new lineup for 2021, which includes two new base models – one of which is an entirely new body shape. There’s also a new way to order directly from Novo and trim the long lead times that are a result of the brand’s growing popularity.

Voltur

The Voltur is a blend of double-cutaway and (unsurprisingly for Novo) offset stylings, as well as a few T-type features in there as well for good measure. The guitar features a Fralin humbucker in the bridge position and a Lollar staple unit in the neck. Tonewoods include a tempered pine body, tempered maple neck and a 9.5-inch radius 22-fret rosewood fretboard. Completing a 24.75-inch scale length is a Tele-style hardtail bridge with Gotoh saddles, while at the other end of things is a set of staggered Kluson Deluxe tuners.

Solus H2

This is a dual-humbucker version of Novo’s existing Solus model, keeping its base specs of a tempered pine body, tempered maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and sweeping design while adding a pair of Fralin Modern PAF humbuckers. Unlike the Solus F1’s Fralin Tele bridge or the M1’s wraparound, the H2 stays true to its dual-humbucker roots with a TonePros Tune-o-Matic bridge & stoptail.

New ways to order

A quicker way to get your hands on a custom-spec’d Novo has also been revealed. Novo’s Select program lets you choose between five of the brand’s models: the new Voltur and Solus H2, and its Serus J, Solus F1 and Solus M1. Then, pick from eight of the brand’s most popular finishes and three different pickguard options, and receive your guitar in 2-3 months, depending on stock.

If you must have a Novo that’s completely your own, Novo’s Custom order option lets you mix and match your specs completely, with everything from pickups, binding, pickguards, finishes and relic’ing level available to choose.

Novo Signature

Finally, Novo announced the Signature series. These will be ultra-limited runs designed by Denis Fano (who also steps into the build process) that will pop up on Novo’s website and be available on a first come, first served basis. Find out more about the initial run below:
