Nux releases Mighty 20 BT modelling amplifier
This affordable 20-watter is designed to be a practice companion.
Nux has expanded its catalogue with the Mighty 20 BT modelling amplifier. Geared towards bedroom guitarists, this 20-watt, 1×8 unit comes with an array of amplifier emulations, built-in effects, and Bluetooth compatibility. Here are the details:
Channels and effects
The Mighty 20 BT features four channels, with two sound presets each. According to Nux, these presets provides the characteristics of popular amp models.
Along with the above presets, the amplifier also comes with nine effects. These are detailed below:
- Modulation: Phaser, chorus, and tremolo
- Delay: Tape, mod, and digital delay with dotted eighth repeats
- Reverb: Plate, hall and spring
Up to three effects – one from each effect type – can be engaged simultaneously.
Top panel features
The amp’s top panel features a comprehensive set of controls. The left section comprises a three-band EQ, as well as gain and level knobs.
The right section has a type knob – to switch between modulation, delay and reverb – an FX parameter dial and a master volume.
Additionally, the amp comes with an aux input and a headphone out for silent practice.
Though the Mighty 20 BT has physical controls, these can be remotely managed with Nux’s Mighty app via Bluetooth.
According to Nux, the app lets you toggle between the amp’s channels and change gain, level and tone parameters. It also enables you to edit the built-in effects and provides access to other app-exclusive features.
