Orange Amplification has teamed with Marcus King to auction off an autographed signed Terror Stamp for charity.

The auction benefits Habitat For Humanity, a global non-profit dedicated to housing poor communities. Its mission: “A world where everyone has a decent place to live.”

The NPO was selected out of thousands of entries from Orange’s customers. Those who registered their products online were allowed to nominate an organisation.

The Terror Stamp, a pedal-sized amplifier played and signed by the blues hero, is now listed on eBay. At press time, it holds a current bid of $127. The auction is slated to end on 16 January.

In a blog post, Orange wrote of using its social media leverage to raise awareness for charity.

“As we’ve grown as a company we’ve also built a big social media following,” it wrote. “We’d like to use our platform to shine a light on important causes that are also close to our customers’ hearts.”

When we reviewed the Terror Stamp last November, we took note of its excellent clean tones. We also found its Shape knob to offer a surprisingly broad range of voices.
