Orangewood Guitars has announced that its Highland Collection is to be expanded with a pair of mahogany-bodied acoustics: the Ava Mahogany and the Sage Mahogany.

The premium all-solid guitars, of course, feature solid mahogany tops, sides and backs, as well as TUSQ nuts and ebony fretboards, bridges and bridge pins.

Other appointments include Grover open-gear tuning machines, as well as an optional pickguard and optional LR Baggs Anthem pickup.

The Ava Mahogany is the Orangewood’s Grand Concert-bodied model for this range, featuring square shoulders and no cutaway. The Sage Mahogany features a Grand Auditorium body shape, with a single-cutaway design.

Both ship with a hardcase, and see a professional set up by Orangewood’s techs in California before reaching you.

Eddie Park, Orangewood’s co-founder and creative director said of the new models: “After launching our first all solid models last year, we’re excited to introduce two new all solid Mahogany models to the Highland Collection. The feedback to our Highland Collection was overwhelmingly positive, and we’re confident more players will enjoy the versatility and uniqueness of another wood option.”

The guitars start at $645, increasing to $945 for the inclusion of the LR Baggs pickup. Both are available to order now from orangewoodguitars.com. For more gear news, click here.
