Positive Grid’s Bias FX mobile app has been made free for 90 days, until 8 April.

The decision comes as musicians across the world find themselves under social distancing measures, meaning a lot more time spent fiddling with effects patches. Positive Grid’s Robert McCullar saying: “It can be difficult for many musicians to remain creative and positive right now,” We want to create an opportunity for them to keep playing and stay connected to music.”

The app lets you build a virtual rig, with a fully simulated signal chain of pedals and an amplifier. There’s also the option to split your signal and create complex stereo rigs or wet/dry blends. Users can also share presets via the ToneCloud preset.

The software also integrates with Positive Grid’s Bias Amp 2 – as you can use it to create amp models, then open them in Bias FX with a single tap.

The app is free until 8 April. Find out more at positivegrid.com.
