PRS to announce all-new guitars, updates and more at its virtual 2021 Launch Party

PRS Guitars has announced a virtual 2021 Launch Party, where it will unveil new products and host an array of special guests. The event maintains the Maryland brand’s tradition of showing off new gear in January and is another example of a major guitar company experimenting with new ways to launch products in the digital space during the pandemic.

According to a statement, fans will have “all-new models,” “updated” ones and the return of “a couple past favourites” to look forward to. The livestream event is slated for 14 January – stay tuned for it on the PRS Guitars YouTube channel.

Some of PRS’ most celebrated players, including Mark Tremonti, Zach Myers, and Jimmy Herring, will be making appearances. There’ll also be performances from Magnolia Boulevard and 2021’s PRS Pulse Artists. Other guests are expected to be announced in the weeks to come.

In a statement, Paul Reed Smith extended his invitation to PRS players and partners. “Guitar playing has always been a source of joy, and we are thankful to have been part of that in 2020,” he said. “Let’s kick off 2021 together and have some fun on the 14th.”

Earlier this year, PRS partnered with Guitar.com for the inaugural Guitar.com Live, a first of its kind virtual guitar show. Smith himself gave a masterclass on guitar building.
