Recording King has announced a new model, the Humbucker Lap Steel.

The guitar features, as its name suggests, a single humbucker pickup, as well as a mahogany string-through construction which should provide the vocal, almost violin-like sustain that lap-steels are known for. There’s also a single volume and tone control for further tweaking of your sound.

The mahogany body features a traditional sunburst finish, as well as a pearloid fretboard. Other features include a bone nut metal-button tuning machines, as well as a scale length of 23.5 inches.

The brand says that the humbucker loading into the guitar is versatile enough for “gospel, country, blues or rock. You can get cranked-up lead tones as easily as you can get soaring clean lines with small adjustments to the single volume and tone controls.”

The guitar is available now, listing for $229.99. Find out more at recordingking.com.
