Recording King’s launch the all-solid Dirty 30s Deluxe electroacoustic models

Recording King has launched a limited edition, all-solid run of its Dirty 30s acoustic models. The Dirty 30s Deluxe series features three vintage-styled electroacoustic models – a dreadnought, Single-0 and 000 – which all sport electronics from Fishman.

Each model in the series features an x-braced solid Sitka spruce top with solid African mahogany backs and sides. Paired to that, a mahogany neck with padauk fretboard and low-key ivory dot inlays.

In keeping with the vintage-theme, Recording King has chosen to equip the instruments with traditional bone nuts and saddles. Also vintage-minded are the instruments’ headstock design and ultra-thin transparent sunburst finish, which also “lets the fundamental voice of the guitar ring clearly”, according to the brand.

Where things take a turn for the modern is in the electronics department. Each model within the series equips a Fishman Sonitone system, which is a soundhole mounted preamp with rotary controls for both Volume and Tone.

Apart from their differing body shapes, the Dreadnought and Single-O both feature scale lengths of 25.4 inches, while the 000’s sits at 24.9 inches.

Recording King has said that they’ve “carefully considered every element” in making their limited edition Dirty 30s Deluxe range stand out “its classic mail-order counterparts” of the 1930s. To accompany the series’ release, they’ve also shared this demo video – take a look below.
