Red Witch has launched a new boost pedal, entitled the Pristina.

The limited-edition unit contains two discrete NOS germanium transistor-powered channels, each with its own volume knob and footswitch. The stripped-back design features a monochrome graphic on the face of the pedal, with the knobs being situated on the top of the enclosure.

The LED in the centre of the unit indicates how many channels are on: red for channel one, blue for channel two or violet for both.

Red Witch suggests using it as a boost with both channels on, so that you can completely clean up your sound just with a turn of your guitar’s volume knob. Headroom can be accentuated with a higher voltage than the pedal’s standard 9V operation – it’s happy to see anything up to 18 volts.

You can hear the pedal in action with Red Witch’s demo below:

The Pristina lists for $299, with 99 available. Each of the limited run is hand-signed and numbered. Find out more over at redwitchpedals.com.
