Reveho, a new instrument maker from France, has unveiled the Slite, a modular travel electric guitar which can be broken down and stored in a compact case for portability. A Kickstarter campaign for the Slite will launch officially on 9 September 2020.

The Slite’s full-scale design is made up of five modules. The body features an aluminium core, of which an upper and lower module can be locked onto to complete. Its 24-fret neck similarly, comes in two parts.

Modules fit into a laptop-sized carrying case with a custom insert that positions the strings in a manner that they remain loose. According to Reveho, putting together the instrument should take roughly 20 seconds.

As the Slite is an electric guitar, it supplies its own preamplifier in the lower section of the body. There are two versions to the instrument, in the Base version, the top module is empty, whilst In the Amp version, it’s equipped with a 15-watt amplifier with up to six hours of battery life. There’s also a headphone jack for silent practice.

Reveho also has plans to expand the instrument with additional modules and customisation options. These include a secondary set of pickups, an effects module and an effects loop module.

At its current pre-order phase, the instrument starts €1549 and goes up €2209. Post-Kickstarter, the Base and Amp versions of the instrument will be priced at €2199 and €2599, respectively.
