Reverb’s highly-anticipated documentary about effects pedals, The Pedal Movie, now has a release date, as well as a new trailer.

The film will now arrive on 30 April, via iTunes, Google Play and Vudu. Pricing for purchase or rental has not yet been revealed.

In a statement, Reverb said: “We are proud to announce that next month, The Pedal Movie will be available for rent or purchase. Our deep dive into the untold story of the pedal industry’s rise is complete – all plugged in, soundchecked, and ready to rock.

“In Reverb’s first-ever feature-length film, we tell the story of how a small industry grew from a handful of companies into the galaxy of different makers building pedals today.”

Ahead of its release, The Pedal Movie has seen a number of special effects units released in celebration of the film – including collaborations between Zvex and Chase Bliss, and Earthquaker Devices and Death By Audio, as well as limited-edition pedals from Way Huge and Walrus Audio.
