Reverb has launched a new trailer for The Pedal Movie, a feature film celebrating the past, present and future of the effects pedal. Watch it above.

The film stars a stacked cast of revered pedal builders and players alike, including boutique building heavyweights such as Robert Keeley (Keeley Effects), Josh Scott (JHS Pedals) and Mike Piera (Analogman), as well as artists such as Peter Frampton, Kevin Shields and J Mascis.

“For the first time ever, the story of guitar pedals and effects will be told by the people who make them and the artists that use them,” Reverb said in a statement.

The Pedal Movie, Reverb’s first-ever feature-length film, will dive into the culture of pedals and tell the story of how a small industry grew from a handful of companies into the galaxy of different makers building pedals today.”

Alongside the new trailer, two special, collaborative stompboxes – exclusive to Reverb – were unveiled yesterday (10 November).

Chase Bliss Audio joined forces with Zvex to launch the Bliss Factory, a feature-filled take on the classic Zvex Fuzz Factory.

Meanwhile, EarthQuaker Devices and Death By Audio teamed up on the Time Shadows, a chaotic pitch-shifting, fuzz and delay pedal.

The Pedal Movie was originally slated for a Summer 2020 release, but due to “unforeseen circumstances” has since been pushed back to January 2021.

Earlier this February, Reverb launched the first trailer for the feature, which you can watch below:
