Reverend Guitars unveils 2018 Limited Edition Tricky Gomez
This retro-themed axe comes in a two-tone finish.
Reverend Guitars has launched the Tricky Gomez LE, its limited-edition model for 2018.
For this version, the Ohio brand has opted to go with an eccentric two-tone finish. The tops feature a bold satin coat, while the backs and sides accent the guitar’s swank with a metallic finish. The line features four stunning options listed here:
- Mulberry mist top with metallic red back
- Deep sea blue top with metallic superior blue back
- Metallic alpine top with outfield ivy back
- Venetian gold top with root beer metallic back
Other highlights on this model include a Pearloid pickguard, off-white binding, and a “Limited Edition 2018” badge on the back of the headstock.
The rest of this axe’s features will come as no surprise. It has a semi-hollow body that synergises with the Revtron pups to deliver rich harmonics and punchy tone. In terms of hardware, it features a Bigsby tremolo – which is a perfect fit for the retro theme – and a roller bridge.
As with all other Reverend models, it has a Boneite nut, locking tuners, the brand’s proprietary Bass Contour Control and a dual-action truss rod. The Tricky Gomez LE is “perfect for the player who wants the raw tone and vibe of a vintage pawnshop prize, but who needs a reliable and stable instrument”, Reverend says.
Only 10 of each option will be available. Lists for $1,329. More information at reverendguitars.com.
