Seymour Duncan has partnered with guitarist Wes Hauch for a 6-string version of the Custom Shop Jupiter 7-String Rails bridge humbucker that came out in 2019. This iteration of the aggressively-voiced pickup now comes in both neck and bridge varieties.

According to the brand, Hauch had requested a set of ‘rails’ humbucker with “searing output and maximum clarity and balance”. And to deliver, Seymour Duncan opted for stainless-steel rail poles, a ceramic magnet and a “finely tuned high output wind” that was done with Hauch’s own input.

The resulting ‘rails’ humbucker set is said to be voiced for an aggressive mid-range attack while also offering a balanced string response. Take a listen to how they sound in a demo from Hauch, below.

The Seymour Duncan Jupiter 6-String Humbucker is available for bridge and neck positions at $129 apiece, or as a set for $249.
