Seymour Duncan is teasing a new pedal
Whatever it is, it’s classic. And metal.

Seymour Duncan, manufacturer of pickups and pedals, has teased a new bit of kit on its Instagram. The post doesn’t give much away – for extra details, it looks like we’ll have to wait until 12 November.
From what the post does show, however, we know it’ll have 13dB of boost or cut on its EQ bands. Another post shows a set of bass, mid and treble knobs:
From the two words ascribed to the pedal, “classic” and “metal”, it’s likely a drive pedal of some sort. “Classic” in particular might mean old-school British tube-amp voicing for the pedal’s tone.
While Seymour Duncan might best be known for its pickups, it offers a number of pedals, ranging from the fully-featured Dark Sun to the one-knob simplicity of the Pickup Booster.
