Andertons, Chicago Music Exchange and Squier launch new exclusive line of Classic Vibe electric guitars

The Classic Vibe Fender Special Runs are some of the priciest guitars from Squier, but they are highly-spec’d out compared to other Squiers.

Andertons, Chicago Music Exchange and Squier have announced that they’ve come together to host an exclusive line of Fender Special Run Squier guitars. The launch comes after that of a number of other Squier Fender Special Run guitars earlier this month.

Exclusive to the two retailers are six special-edition Squiers: two Thinline Telecasters, a Stratocaster, a Bass VI and two Jaguars. See the full range below.

Squier Classic Vibe ’60s Thinline Telecaster In Metallic Black

Squier CV FSR Metallic Black Thinline Telecaster

This Thinline Telecaster features a unique anodized pickguard, with an equally striking metallic black finish. Other specifications include a bone nut, vintage-style tuners, a C-shaped vintage-ting-finished neck and an Indian laurel fretboard. As it’s a Thinline it’s semi-hollow, sporting an F-hole on the upper half of the body.

Unlike some Thinline Telecasters which come equipped with two Wide Range Humbuckers, this model however comes with two Fender-designed single coil pickups, with the bridge pickup housed in a traditional Telecaster bridge plate.

Lists for £399. Find out more here.

Squier Classic Vibe Thinline Telecaster In Butterscotch Blonde

Squier CV FSR Butterscotch Thinline Telecaster

With very similar specifications to the above guitar, this instead has a more traditional three-ply black-white-black pickguard, a Butterscotch Blonde finish and a maple fretboard.

Lists for £379. Find out more here.

Squier Classic Vibe ’60s Stratocaster In Purple Metallic

Squier CV FSR Pruple Metallic Stratocaster

Bearing a tortoiseshell pickguard to complement its striking purple metallic finish, this guitar is spec’d out in classic Stratocaster style. There’s a vintage-style tremolo, three Fender-designed alnico single coils, narrow-tall frets, a bone nut and a traditional Stratocaster-style electronics layout.

Lists for £379. Find out more here.

Squier Classic Vibe ’70s Jaguar In Purple Metallic

Squier CV FSR Purple Metallic Jaguar

With the same pickguard and finish as the above, this Jaguar bears a shorter 24-inch scale length, a classic offset tremolo system and a pair of Fender-designed alnico pickups connected to a traditional Jaguar electronics layout. Like any classic Jaguar, the pickups are housed in a metal claw surround.

The neck is maple with a vintage-tint gloss finish, and this is topped with an Indian Laurel fretboard with Block Inlays.

Lists for £379. Find out more here.

Squier Classic Vibe ’60s Jaguar In Shell Pink

Squier CV FSR Shell Pink Jaguar

The different decade in this model name only affects the finish, as the rest of the specifications are identical to the above Jazzmaster, bar the painted headsock and dot inlays rather than block inlays. Going along with the Shell Pink is a three-ply mint green pickguard.

Lists for £399. Find out more here.

Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI In Shell Pink

Squier CV FSR Shell Pink Bass VI

This Squier Bass VI stays close to the classic specifications, with 21 frets, three Fender-designed alnico single-coils and a poplar body. Of course, making it a Bass VI is its whopping 30-inch scale length, the same as a short-scale bass guitar. Factory tuning is one octave lower than a regular E-standard guitar.

Lists for £449. Find out more here.
