Today, pre-sales begin of two books aimed squarely at pedal fanatics: Stompbox: 100 Pedals of the World’s Greatest Guitarists and Vintage & Rarities: 333 Cool, Crazy and Hard to Find Guitar Pedals.

Both books offer extensive photography of some extraordinarily enviable effects – the first, Stompbox: 100 Pedals of the World’s Greatest Guitarists, showcases the actual pedals used by 100 notable guitarists including Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Frank Zappa, Alex Lifeson, Andy Summers, Eric Johnson, Adrian Belew, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Ed O’Brien, J Mascis, Lita Ford, Joe Perry, Thurston Moore, Lee Ranaldo, Vernon Reid, Kaki King, Nels Cline and more. This book has been created by Eilon Paz, edited by Dan Epstein and James Rotondi and features foreword by Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien.

The second, Vintage & Rarities: 333 Cool, Crazy and Hard to Find Guitar Pedals showcases detailed photographs of everything from the earliest prototype fuzzboxes to unique boutique creations. It was compiled by photographer Eilon Paz and writer/editor Dan Epstein.

Each book contains interviews with noted musicians, collectors and pedal designers.
