Pedal fans are discussing an alleged newcomer to Strymon’s Sky series of reverb pedals – if there’s any truth to the ‘Cloudburst Ambient Reverb’ remains to be seen.

The alleged pedal was reported on by Guitar Bomb, which cited its source as “an Italian dealer site”. As yet, Strymon has made no official announcements about such an effect.

Images shared by the guitar blog suggest the Cloudburst Ambient Reverb to sport a compact design, with a single footswitch, a three-way mode switch for ‘ensemble’ and a standard fare of time-based effects controls. As far as connectivity goes, there appear to be three sockets – though what they’re for isn’t exactly clear.

Guitar Bomb also shared that, per the dealer page, the pedal will be priced at £319.

The alleged pedal is currently being discussed in threads on both Reddit and Gear Page.

It’s been claimed that the pedal will be released on either 6 February 2023 or 2 June 2023; A Gear Page user [brs928] shared an alleged screenshot of a ‘cached’ online listing that showed a release date of 06-02-2023.

That being said, until Strymon makes an official announcement, all of this is still just speculation.

Stay tuned for more updates as we know it.
