NAMM 2020: The Sully Guitars Concorde has taken flight, right on time for this year’s NAMM.

Designed in conjunction with Grover Jackson Engineering, the Concorde is an angular Flying V-type guitar that comes in two flavours: a Custom Series and a Conspiracy Series.

Conspiracy Series

The more affordable of the pair, the Conspiracy Series Concorde is a set-neck, 25.5-inch-scale electric whose tonewoods include a mahogany body, three-piece laminated maple neck and an ebony fretboard with a 12- to 16-inch compound radius.

It’s powered by two Sully-spec’d pickups, dubbed the Passive Aggressive (bridge) and the Al Pastor (neck). Hipshot locking tuners, slash inlays, and both tune-o-matic and Floyd Rose bridges complete the Conspiracy spec sheet.

This model, which is made in South Korea, lists from $1,249 and will be available to pre-order on 1 February 2020.

Custom Series

The more premium model shares many similarities as the Conspiracy – its scale length, set-neck construction, hardware, and body and fretboard tonewoods, for starters.

Its neck, however, is made of laminated mahogany as compared to the Conspiracy’s laminated maple. The Custom Series Concorde also sports different pickups, the Secret Menu (bridge) and Habanero Classic (neck), both of which are wound by Grover Jackson Engineering.

And since this is a custom instrument, more choices of wood, binding, inlays, bridges and finishes are available. This model, made in Texas by Sully Guitars, starts at $2,950 and is available to order now.

In addition to this pair, Sully Guitars has announced that an ultra-limited batch of Concordes – built by Sully Guitars’ Jon Sullivan and Grover Jackson Engineering’s namesake founder – will be available soon.
