Blackstar has gotten its Summer NAMM plans underway with the amPlug 2 FLY series. These are palm-sized headphone amps – one for guitar and another for bass – that promise to deliver clear and defined tone through all-analogue circuits.

The amPlug 2 FLY for guitar boasts three channels – clean, crunch and lead – and Blackstar’s patented ISF tone control. Three built-in effects are also included: chorus, delay and reverb. The bass variant, by comparison, arms you with three voices – classic, modern and overdrive – the same tone control, as well as six rhythm loops.

Both the guitar and bass versions provide up to 17 hours of juice from two AA batteries, and are designed to fit most body shapes.

Blackstar is a brand famous for, among other products, its small-sized amps. At The NAMM Show 2019, earlier this year, it launched the Super Fly, a portable amplifier built for the street performer. And just a month ago, it unveiled a snazzy Def Leppard edition of the Fly 3 mini amp.

Retails at $44.99/£42.99 each. More info at blackstaramps.com. For the latest SNAMM 19 news, click here.
