Sunn O))) and Earthquaker Devices’ collaboration, the Life Pedal, has received a second and reportedly final reissue, this time in a silver enclosure. After returning in August in a limited gold run, the octave fuzz pedal was one of our picks for the year’s best metal gear because of its unique, intense sound.

The Life Pedal is based on three stages: an octave fuzz section modelled after the Shin-Ei FY2 and FY6, a distortion circuit in the vein of ‘Whiteface’ ProCo Rats, and a boost stage designed to push preamp tubes into harmonically-saturated breakup.

Read our interview with Sunn O)))’s Greg Anderson about the Life Pedal here.

250 more pedals in this silver-enclosure run will be available. The Silver Life Pedal reissue lists for $429.61 / £333.63. More information at reverb.com.
