NAMM 2021: Supro’s new offerings for 2021 include the Delta King combo amplifier series and the brand new analogue Chorus pedal. The brand has also announced some major upgrades to their ‘64 Super, ‘64 Reverb, Black Magick and Keeley combos.

Delta King Amplifiers

Supro’s latest line of combos draws from its amp designs of the 1950s and comes in three power ratings. The Delta King amplifiers feature 12AX7 tube preamps and custom speakers based on field-coil speakers – used by amp makers as early as the 1920s.

The single-watt Delta King 8 has an eight-inch speaker and is designed as a studio or bedroom amp. It has a line output positioned before the master volume, letting you crank the preamp and blend it against the onboard speaker to your own taste.

The five-watt Delta King 10 packs 6V6 power tubes and a Class A power amp for natural compression and “touch-sensitive” headroom. This model also sports a 10-inch speaker, a FET-driven boost function, Pigtronix FAT high-gain mode and true analogue spring reverb.

Finally, the 15-watt Delta King 12 features a 12AU7 triode power amp tube and a 12-inch custom speaker. It has a three-band EQ and – like the Delta King 10 – a FET-driven boost, Pigtronix FAT high-gain mode and true analogue spring reverb.

The Delta King 8, 10 and 12 are available at $449, $549 and $649 respectively. You can get them in either tweed or black/white colour schemes.

’64 Super, ’64 Reverb, Black Magick and Keeley Custom upgrades

A handful of Supro combos have been outfitted with Jensen speakers. The ‘64 Super and ‘64 Reverb now feature eight-inch Jensen C8R speakers, while the Black Magick combo has a 12-inch Jensen P12Q speaker for improved warmth, balance and upper-mid bite.

Supro Keeley Custom 12

Supro also announced the Keeley Custom 12, a 25-watt version of the pedal-friendly Custom 10. The amplifier continues the brand’s collaboration with Robert Keeley of Keeley Electronics and sports a 12-inch Celestion G12M-65 Creamback speaker, a transparent effects loop and an ECC83S-based tube preamp. It’s available for $1,199.

Supro Chorus pedal

Supro’s latest pedal is an all-analogue chorus that uses MN3007 bucket-brigade chips for warm, lush sounding tones. It’s also a full-stereo effect: tweaking the time control shortens one end of the stereo field while lengthening the other and the dimension knob lets you blend stereo channels together.
