Magnetic Effects has released a new pedal, a four-stage analogue phaser entitled the Eye To Eye. The pedal is a collaboration with New Zealand band The Datsuns, and is released in celebration of their new album of the same name.

The pedal has a completely analogue signal path, and is based on an OTA (Operational Transconductance Amplifier).

Controls consist of knobs for volume, speed, sweep, mix and regeneration. The mix knob allows you to completely kill the wet signal, tune your phaser sound in the middle or kill the dry signal for unique vibrato sounds when set to full.

The speed control’s range is extended by the three-way rate switch, which sets it to work in two different ranges. The middle position disables the LFO, meaning the pedal can work as a standalone, stationary filter. The sweep control allows for adjustment of the width of phased frequencies, with lower settings meaning a narrower range and higher settings meaning a wider range.

The pedal features some psychedelic artwork evoking the cover of Eye To Eye, as well as top-mounted jacks and true-bypass switching. It runs on standard centre-negative 9V power.

It’s available to preorder now from magneticeffects.com, for the price of $189.
