ThorpyFX spins up the wobble with its new Pulse Doppler Phaser
The fully analogue pedal has a number of tricks up its sleeve.

ThorpyFX has launched its latest pedal, the Pulse Doppler. The unit is an analogue modulation unit capable of a number of sounds, ranging from subtle vintage phase, vibrato and tremolo to oscillating, psychedelic weirdness.

The unit features five control knobs. Modulation depth and rate can be adjusted, as well as the blend of the wet signal. There’s also ‘Manual’ and ‘Enhance’ knobs for further tonal adjustment, with the ‘Manual’ knob setting the frequency of the notch filter for phasing sounds.
The modulation phase position and scope can also be adjusted further with two extra toggle switches. The ‘dual’ toggle can invert the chosen notch frequencies, and the phase mode toggle can invert the phase of the modulation or set it to pulse unilaterally.
The unit features a standard bypass footswitch and a secondary footswitch to kill the dry signal. Depending on how the other controls are set, this will result in either a tremolo or a vibrato sound.
The pedal sports a laser-cut, black anodised, silkscreened sloped enclosure wrapped in a dark red powder coat base. Its jacks are top-mounted, and the control panel is recessed below the two side panels.
