Zoom has released the G1 Four and G1X Four, two multi-effects units packed with built-in effects, amp and cab sims, loopers and drum machines.

The G1 is loaded with over 60 effects, while the G1X offers more than 70 effects and features an expression pedal. The effects span both traditional and boutique types, including ring modulation, pitch-shifting delay, as well as an interesting sitar simulation.

Each processor also features a looper and an in-built drum machine. The former provides up to 30 seconds of recording, while the latter serves up 68 rhythm patterns – across different time signatures – that can be used alongside the looper.

Rounding out the features are 13 amp and cab sims, including emulations of classic Fender, Marshall and Orange models.

Should you require more options, you can tap on Zoom’s Guitar Lab software to access a library of artist patches, effects and more.

Here are some other specs:

  • Fifty slots to store user-created patches
  • Auto-Save function for all patch parameters
  • Onboard chromatic tuner
  • Mono input for both active and passive instruments
  • Aux input for music sources
  • Output to amp/headphones
  • Requires four AA batteries, lasts up to 18 hours
  • USB-compatible for firmware updates
