When it comes to women who rock, Lzzy Hale is definitely in the fold. The guitarist and singer of Halestorm earned her first signature instrument, a white Gibson Explorer, back in 2014. But for every yin there must exist a yang: The 2018 edition of the guitar features aesthetics reminiscent of Black Beauties.

To make it really pop, the Lzzy Hale Explorer Dark comes with a polished ebony finish as well as shiny gold hardware and pickguard. Mother-of-pearl block inlays and a Lzzy Hale-signed truss rod cover are other eye-catching features of this piece.

But in this guitar’s case, beauty isn’t only skin deep. With most specs unchanged from its white sibling, the axe oozes the classic Explorer tone. A solid mahogany body and neck, ’57 classic humbuckers, 22 frets with a 12-inch fingerboard radius, and a Tune-o-matic bridge round up the specs.
