Earlier this year, the warehouse lot home to Boutique Amps Distribution was hit by a fire. Now Friedman Amps, whose factory is also part of Boutique Amps Distribution, has released a statement detailing the impact of the fire.

On Instagram, Friedman Amps detailed how the fire itself mainly affected the warehouse behind the BAD / Friedman building. “To sum up, a fire broke out in the downtown Los Angeles building that houses Friedman Amps, as well as other world-renowned brands, late in the evening on 31 May. The fire destroyed the entire back section of the building which was occupied by a separate tenant, with damage leading all the way up to a shared wall with Boutique Amps Distribution.

“Although the flames didn’t reach the BAD side and no equipment, structure or product was touched by the fire itself, the smoke from the fire and the measures taken by the LAFD to extinguish the blaze, did result in some irreparable damage. Once again, we would like to reiterate that we’re extremely thankful the fire stopped where it did and no civilian or employee lives were at risk during the incident, and our admiration and gratitude for the Los Angeles Fire Department cannot be overstated.

The statement also details the plan for the brand going forward: “Boutique Amps Distribution has taken possession of another space and we are working to get things back up and running. The Boutique Amps Distribution staff are incredible and we’re extremely appreciative of these hard-working, professional and capable individuals – it’s only through their ceaseless efforts that production will resume in the coming weeks and months.

“We also want to thank all of you for the support you have shown us during this difficult time and for your patience and understanding as we face potential delays in our journey back to a full recovery, as we do everything in our power to catch up and resume normal operations. Thank you again and we look forward to a new chapter for Friedman Amps as we get back to doing what we do best!”
