The UK distributor for multi-effects and recording equipment manufacturer Zoom has folded, according to a statement from the brand.

The company Zoom UK Distribution Limited will no longer be supplying Zoom’s products to the UK market, however this does not mean the brand’s exit from the UK – Zoom has partnered with Sound Service European Distribution

The full statement from Zoom is as follows: “due to unexpected circumstances, the company “Zoom UK Distribution Limited” is no longer in the position of assuring distribution of Zoom products in the UK market. Nonetheless the supply of Zoom products to the UK and related after-sale services are now guaranteed through a joint effort of Sound Service European Distribution and Zoom Corporation.”

Zoom launched its first product all the way back in 1990, the 9002: The guitar-strap-mounted multi-effects unit was among the first of its kind, and since then the brand has continued to release powerful multi-effects units, alongside handheld audio recorders and field recording equipment. Its latest multi-effects unit is the G11, featuring five virtual stompboxes and a fully-fledged amplifier stage, complete with 70-onboard impulse responses.

The brand encouraged dealers and retailers to contact Sound Service if they had any inquiries about the change.
