JackSavior raises funds for new Black Edition guitar cable

JackSavior has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its newest product, the Black Edition guitar cable.

Aside from the black-nickel-plated 1/4” plug, the Black Edition differs from other conventional guitar cables due to its wires connecting inside the plug rather than outside. JackSavior states that this results in a jack that’s 10 times stronger than the average.

The nickel-plated plug, which is said to improve signal transfer, was a challenging material to incorporate into a guitar cable design. JackSavior founder Bouwy van Sambeek remarked that black nickel was reputedly “impossible to solder”, though the company discovered that the solution laid in controlling the soldering process.

The Black Edition cable also features a cable jacket that’s much more svelte, resulting in a smaller and more flexible design that’s less likely to damage the output jack of an amp or instrument. Watch the video below for more details:
