Jericho Guitars has added a new five-stringer to its Alpha line of basses, which debuted in 2017. And like its four-string predecessors, the Alpha 5 impresses with its high-quality hardware and craftsmanship that belie its modest price tag.

Apart from the additional string, the Alpha 5 sports pretty much the same specs as the original Alpha: a 35-inch scale, solid ash body, Macassar ebony fretboard, single-piece maple neck, Hipshot bridge and tuners, and StewMac Golden Age P- and J-style pickups. And that’s not to mention its stealthy, all-black look borrowed from the Alpha Blacker.

The Alpha 5 lists for $1,499.99. For more information, check out jerichoguitars.com.
