Joan Jett will perform on Rolling Stone and Gibson’s In My Room concert series this Friday (24 April) at 3pm ET.

The series – which live streams on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – can be watched on Rolling Stone’s Instagram page. Apart from Jett, this week’s performances also feature James Bay (20 April), and Lukas Nelson (22 April).

Jett also teamed up with Gibson’s charitable arm, Gibson Gives and Rolling Stone to auction off an autographed Gibson Joan Jett ES-339 for charity. Proceeds from the auction go towards MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, which provides financial support to musicians and music industry workers affected by COVID-19. The auction – held on CharityBuzz.com – opened yesterday (20 April), and will close on 8 May.

“About a month ago, we launched In My Room as a way to foster greater connection between Rolling Stone fans and the artists they admire most,” said Gus Wenner, Rolling Stone’s president and COO in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Gibson team and three extraordinary artists to give back to the music community through MusiCares at a moment when it’s needed most.”

In other Joan Jett news, Arrows frontman Alan Merrill, who co-wrote her signature song, I Love Rock And Roll died last month from complications due to COVID-19. He was 69.
