Joyo Audio has updated its JW-01 wireless guitar system with more than a few significant tweaks—the JW-02’s sleeker silhouette notwithstanding.

First off, Joyo changed the frequency band in which the JW-02 operates from the standard 2.4 GHz to 5.8 GHz. The company claims this “guarantees superior anti-jamming ability, better transmission stability and faster signal transmission” while negating the potential for interference from wireless routers, most of which use the 2.4 GHz band.

The JW-02 has a transmission distance of up to 65 feet, and promises only about seven milliseconds of delay. The internal battery on both the transmitter and receiver lasts for five hours, an upgrade from the JW-01’s two hours. And like its predecessor, the JW-02 also has a ‘multiple receiver’ mode, which lets you send one signal to up to four receivers.
