Fleetwood Mac, Ozzy Osbourne and Santana producer Keith Olsen has died

He worked on influential albums such as No Rest For The Wicked, Crazy World and many more.

Keith Olsen, multi-platinum selling record producer, died on Monday (9 March) aged 74.

Per Allmusic.com, Olsen had over 200 production credits to his name, which earned him six Grammy Awards, 45 Gold or Platinum Record Certifications and the sales of 110 million singles, LPs and CDs. Notably, he worked on successful records such as Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 self-titled album, Carlos Santana’s 1987 Blues For Salvador, Ozzy Osbourne’s 1988 No Rest For The Wicked, and Scorpions’ 1990 Crazy World.

A cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but tributes from numerous artists, including statements from Scorpions, Whitesnake singer David Coverdale and more, have been pouring in.

“We just learned about the passing of our dear friend and producer Keith Olsen,” Scorpions said in a statement on Facebook. “Keith produced many iconic albums, including our album Crazy World. Keith was a wonderful guy, and the making of Crazy World was such an inspiring journey.” See the full statement here:
