Players looking to spring for a clean boost have yet another model to consider: LunaStone Pedal’s Boost 18. The chic, slim-sized stompbox provides up to 18 dB of “clean but flavorful” boost, said the Danish company, and is an upgrade to its Pusher pedal.
While it’s primarily clean, the Boost 18 gives your tone a ‘tube-like’ enhancement, or “renewed clarity, definition and punch,” according to LunaStone. Use it as an ‘always-on’ preamp, to drive the front-end of your amp, or fed into your existing distortion units—the pedal will sound delicious either way.
