Mad Professor has unveiled the limited-edition Fuzz32, a hand-wired germanium fuzz pedal that features upgrades over the typical vintage-flavoured fuzz boxes.

The Finnish pedal builder claims that the Fuzz32 incorporates a fuzz circuit that’s stable enough to withstand temperature changes – a pain point for most germanium-powered fuzz pedals. The pedal’s circuit is also designed to work well with buffers inserted in front of it, making placement of the Fuzz32 a simple affair.

Other features of the Fuzz32 include increased output, allowing it to achieve unity gain even with a slight amount of fuzz dialled in. Finally, a 9V input means that the Fuzz32 can be run off a power supply instead of a battery.

The Fuzz32’s control panel is defined by three knobs controlling output, gain and tone. A mini-toggle can be used to engage the pedal’s boost function which ramps up the volume and gain for a searing lead tone.

Only 96 pieces of the Fuzz32 will be produced, with 32 belonging to one of three colours: blue, red and turquoise. The blue version is now available for shipping.
